Ellerman House – Cape Town
Situated in the heart of one of the most exclusive suburbs, Bantry Bay, just ten minutes away from the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront and in walking distance to the Clifton and Camps Bay beaches, this elegant Edwardian mansion overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and has an extensive collection of original South African art. Originally a private residence, the Edwardian-style mansion has 13 rooms and suites, two ultra-modern villas plus the tranquil Ellerman House Spa. The Wine Gallery is seriously impressive; a cellar for the hotel’s 7500-bottle collection of South African vintage wines.
Grootbos Private Nature Reserve

The accommodation is a combination of unique lodges and private villas and has been designed to blend with the surrounding environment. The style is contemporary yet authentic and classically elegant with floor to ceiling windows offering stunning views across the landscape of milkwood forest, mountains and sea. The cuisine here is exceptional and guests can enjoy fine dining complimented by some of South Africa’s best wines. This is a truly special hotel.
Hotel Babylonstoren – Franschhoek
Lying within the vineyards of the Drakenstein Valley, close to Franschhoek, Babylonstoren is a beautifully preserved farm with a manor house dating back to 1777. Its farm buildings have been converted to a boutique hotel which now host elegant cottages and suites. Its two restaurants serve produce from its organic gardens, as well as a wine Tasting Room which serves delicious platters. Indulge in relaxation at Babylonstoren as you view the mountains all around, pick your own healthy fruit and veg, swim, enjoy the spa, or watch sunsets with a glass of wine in hand.
