Estancia el Bordo de las Lanzas is a beautiful estancia in the province of Salta.
One of the oldest estancias in the country, it is believed to date back to 1609 and this tradition permeates the whole ethos of the hotel. Personal service is offered as guests arrive and they are greeted by the family. The décor is charming and elegantly simple, retaining the style of the classic estancia with crisp linens, and exposed wood. All rooms are equipped with wood burning stove and overlook the charming gardens. Draping wisteria and bougainvillea add bright splashes of colour to the exterior whitewashed walls.
The estancia is still a working farm, growing crops such as maize, quinoa and chia. The cuisine is produced using fresh, local ingredients and the breakfast including homemade bread and jams is hard to beat. A wide range of activities is on offer to guests including horse riding, bird-watching, trekking, folklore and handicraft classes, cattle round-ups and other gaucho activities. For those looking for more relaxation, take advantage of an indulgent massage.
This is warm Argentinean hospitality in an elegant and traditional hotel.
