Since Chaa Creek´s inception 30 years ago, the owners Mick and Lucy Fleming strove to coexist with nature while creating a true jungle experience. The result is an exquisite blend of natural beauty and man-made comforts.

Sitting in a pristine 400-acre nature reserve, The Lodge at Chaa Creek is a romantic haven for adventure lovers. Spend the day exploring the jungle and its wildlife before retreating to your palm-thatched cottage or cosy villa for a restful night’s sleep.  Nestled amongst the verdant landscape of the Belize Macal River, the lodge provides couples and families alike  with  a  totally  unique  jungle  experience.

The 23 cottages  are  each  individually  designed  to  reflect traditional Mayan style and boast hand-crafted furniture, local art and private sundeck verandas so you  can enjoy the sights and sounds of passing toucans and fluttering hummingbirds. If you’re celebrating a special occasion, such as a honeymoon or anniversary, stay in the luxurious Treetop Suites, where you will wake to spectacular birds-eye panoramic views of the jungle canopy each morning. There is also a private jacuzzi on the veranda which makes for romantic stargazing in the evening.

Not only providing exceptional accommodation, Chaa Creek also boasts some of the best hotel facilities in the area. After exploring the jungle in the morning, spend the afternoon relaxing by the fresh water infinity pool or indulge in a specialised mud treatment or invigorating facial at the Hilltop Spa. There is also a Blue Morpho Butterfly exhibit and a natural history centre for children to enjoy. For the more adventurous who wish to be out exploring all day, there are daily RTV Rainforest safaris, guided river canoe trips along the Macal river, tubing adventures, river boat tours and San Ignacio Market tours. After dinner, guests can even go on an exploratory night tour of the jungle to spot scurrying Armadillos, owls and birds.
