The estancia of Los Potreros is an exclusive working cattle farm, wonderfully secluded and surrounded by 6500 acres of land.
Sitting at the top of the Sierras Chicas in the heart of the beautiful region of Córdoba, this remote and rustic estancia welcomes guests from all over the world. Dating back to 1574, this estancia has a rich history. The land has been farmed by the Begg family for four generations, and today Kevin and Louisa Begg delight in welcoming guests to share their home and lifestyle, providing a unique and unforgettable stay in first hand contact with the rural traditions of Argentina. Taking care of guests with unrivalled personal attention to detail comes naturally and the Beggs pride themselves on their warm and open hospitality.
Rooms within the estancia are decorated in a rustic and elegant style with white walls and touches of the authentic estancia. The decoration is in in keeping with the rest of the house, each room has a small wood burning stove and antique décor. The meals provided at the estancia are mostly made using home grown, organic produce and the beef is from their own herd. European influence is strong, but guests can still enjoy a traditional Argentine ‘asado’ or barbeque. Freshly baked breads, free range eggs and own label wines make dining here a truly unique experience, and with a maximum of 12 guests, it is a very personal one too.
There is plenty to do, and this hidden gem will allow guests to immerse themselves in a true gaucho experience. Whether your passion be horse riding, stunning scenery, walking, bird-watching, photography, soaking up the local culture or simply enjoying good company in a truly unique setting, Estancia Los Potreros has something for everyone.
