Belize In Depth is a 13-day luxury itinerary that allows you to really get to know this exciting and tropical country.
Your trip begins with an exciting journey into the Belizean jungle in the Cayo District. Here, you can explore the famous Aktun Tunichil Muknal (ATM) cave, a fascinating and adventurous experience. You will also visit the famous Caracol Mayan ruins. Surrounded by a forest reserve, they are a beautiful sight. Next you will travel south to the less-visited area of Hopkins where you can learn how to make chocolate and discover more about the fascinating Mayan culture and how it continues in modern Belizean culture. Lastly, spend a few days in Placencia, a stunning location on the coast of Southern Belize, to relax by the beach, enjoy a boat trip and plenty of snorkelling.

Day by Day itinerary
DAY 1
Arrive into Belize City
Arrive in Belize City where your private guide will be waiting for you. You will take a private transfer straight to the Cayo region and check in to your hotel where you will stay for the next three nights.

DAY 2
Private tour of the Aktun Tunichil Muknal Cave
This morning your guide will collect you for a tour of the fascinating Aktun Tunichil Muknal cave. A mixture of swimming, walking and climbing will take you deep into the Mayan underworld for an amazing experience.
DAY 3
Private tour of Caracol and Rio On Pools
This morning you will depart with your guide for a private tour of Caracol, one of Belize’s most famous Mayan sites. On your way back from Caracol, you will have another little adventure stopping by the Rio Frio Cave and Rio On Pools of the Mountain Pine ridge. Here you can jump in for a swim and relax before returning to your hotel.
DAY 4
Transfer to Hopkins Bay
Today you will leave San Ignacio and take a private transfer to Hopkins Bay, a beautiful beach location, where you will spend the next three nights.

DAY 5
Private Tour of Mayflower Bocawina National Park
This morning you will be collected and taken to the Mayflower Bocawina National Park. Enjoy an invigorating hike, swim in emerald pools and zip line through the jungle.
DAY 6
Free time in Hopkins
Today is free for you to relax and enjoy the beach and the charming village of Hopkins.
DAY 7
Fly to Punta Gorda
Today you will fly from Dangriga, south to Punta Gorda in the Toledo district for 4 nights at the beautiful Copal Tree Lodge.

DAY 8
Bean to Bar Chocolate Class
Enjoy a bean to bar chocolate class for a very unique opportunity to understand and participate in the entire process of transforming high quality organic cacao into chocolate – one of Belize’s most famous products.
DAY 9
Living Maya Experience
Today you will visit the Chiac family for a glimpse of modern-day Mayan life. Here you can have a go at making these crafts under the guidance of Juan, Hilaria and their daughter Marta.
DAY 10
Transfer to Placencia
This morning you will take a private transfer to the beautiful Placencia Peninsula where you will spend the next three nights.

DAY 11
Private Snorkelling Tour
After breakfast, you will be taken to the marina where your professional guides will be ready to take you on an unforgettable snorkelling adventure in Belize’s Barrier Reef (the second largest in the world) and the many beautiful cayes nearby, such as Laughing Bird Caye National Park.
DAY 12
Free Time in Placencia
A free day for you to relax and enjoy the beautiful beaches of Placencia.
DAY 13
Fly Home
At the appropriate time today you will take a flight back to Belize City to connect with your international flight home.
