Best of Bahia is a 2-week itinerary exploring the beautiful northern state of Bahia, incorporating colonial Salvador, the stunning Chapada Diamantina National Park and gorgeous beaches.
Bahia in the northeast of Brazil is a particularly stunning region and this itinerary combines cities, scenery and beaches to show you the best the state has to offer. Your trip starts in the colonial city of Salvador, picturesque and vibrant with its exceptionally well-reserved historical centre and West African-influenced culture. From Salvador, you will take a short flight inland to the stunning Chapada Diamantina. This beautiful national park combines tabletop mountains, great treks, caves, waterfalls and lovely vegetation. You will spend a few days here exploring with your private guide. Next, return to Salvador for a night before flying down the coast to the trendy beach town of Trancoso. Spend a week here in one of Brazil’s best hotels, relaxing on the beach and enjoying the excellent service.

Day by Day itinerary
DAY 1
Arrive into Salvador
Arrive into Salvador where your private guide will be waiting to take you to your hotel for the next three nights.

DAY 2
Discover Salvador
This morning your guide will collect you for a private tour of the city. You will take in the Pelourinho, the historical centre as well as the bay and port area. Lunch is included to give you a chance to sample the delicious Bahian cuisine.
DAY 3
Free time in Salvador
Today is free for you to relax and explore Salvador independently.
DAY 4
Travel to Lençois
This morning your guide will collect you and take you to the airport for a short flight to Lençois. You will spend the next four nights here, using this delightful little town as a base to explore the Chapada.

DAYS 5 – 6
Explore the Chapada
Over the next few days you will experience the wonderful chapada, going out each day with your guide. You can enjoy treks, see beautiful scenery and learn about the flora and fauna of this special place.
DAY 7
Fly back to Salvador
Today you will fly back to Salvador to spend the night before travelling down the coast.

DAY 8
Travel to Trancoso
Your guide will accompany you to the airport today for your flight south to Porto Seguro. From here you will take a private transfer to the beautiful beach town of Trancoso where you can check in to your luxury hotel.

DAYS 9 – 14
Relax in Trancoso
These days are free for you to spend as you wish. Trancoso has beautiful beaches and a laidback ambiance. Enjoy the restaurants, catch up with some shopping in the boutiques and enjoy Brazil’s best luxury hotel.
DAY 15
Fly home
Today you will take a transfer back to Porto Seguro to connect on to your flight home.
