This trip begins in the capital of Cambodia, Phnom Penh. Here you’ll spend 2 nights. You’ll visit the infamous Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum with your private guide and learn about the legacy of Pol Pot. This history will be juxtaposed by the French colonial buildings and new Khmer architecture which adorn Phnom Penh and visit the markets of the city in the early morning when the city comes to life. You’ll fly up to Siem Reap where you will spend 4 nights instyle. You’ll explore the incredible temples of Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, the Bayon and the archaeological delights around Siem Reap. You’ll head to the Tonle Sap Lake to visit a floating village and spend an afternoon exploring the rural landscapes around Siem Reap. You’ll finish with a flight to Sihanoukville and enjoy ultimate relaxation on the exclusive Song Saa island before flying home.

Close to the temples of Angkor and away from the noise of Siem Reap, Phum Baitang is an oasis of lush gardens and rice paddies. The name means ‘green village’ in Khmer and the design invokes a traditional Cambodian village. The individual villas are built on stilts using reclaimed wood with thatched rooves and handpicked design pieces. They are a charming mix of modern luxury and traditional authenticity. Bathrooms feature baths carved from local stone and some villas offer private plunge pools. Two restaurants serve fusion cuisine or more traditional Cambodian dishes.
Song Saa Private Island
A stunning luxury eco-resort sitting across the islands of Koh Bong and Koy Ouen. Sustainability is at the forefront of the design for Song Saa which was built using reclaimed materials. The 24 luxury villas feature private pols and are dotted across the island, some within the rainforest and some overlooking the sea. The open plan design of the villas makes use of the natural light and space. Guests can dine on locally caught seafood and fresh, seasonal produce becoming. The surroundings are sublime. White, sandy beaches, tropical rainforest and a self-made marine reserve – the hotel has its own team of marine biologists and funds local projects.
