Classic Peru
Exploring charming colonial cities, mysterious Inca ruins and the scenic splendour of the Andes, this Classic Peru tour includes all the highlights.
Beginning with a two-night stay in Peru’s capital city on the Pacific Coast, you will enjoy a fascinating tour of Lima’s colonial centre with plenty of free time to sample the local gastronomy, widely regarded as some of the best food in Latin America. Next, explore the mysterious Inca ruins of the Sacred Valley and enjoy a luxury train journey to the most famous lost citadel of all: Machu Picchu. Enjoy a cosy night tucked away in the cloud forest at the foot of the mountain before returning to the ruins for a second time the next day and taking the train on to Cusco, the epicentre of Peruvian colonial history – where the 15th and 16th century cultural clash between the Spanish conquistadors and the indigenous Quechua peoples remains evident. From Cusco, you will travel to the Bolivian border to spend two peaceful nights by the azure waters of Lake Titicaca before returning home.
