Over the course of this three-week itinerary, you will discover all the historical highlights of this charming nation and soak up the breath-taking vistas of the Colca Canyon, Lake Titicaca and the Amazon basin. Beginning with a sophisticated stay in Lima’s fashionable Miraflores district, you will then travel south for a night in the city of Arequipa and an exploration of the Colca Canyon – one of the world’s deepest and most dramatic ravines. You will then stop at Lake Titicaca before exploring the wonders of the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu with a luxury, lodge-to-lodge trekking programme. To conclude your trip, you will spend three nights in the Peruvian Amazon on an exclusive river cruise experiencing the magic of this vast, untouched wilderness and its fascinating fauna.

DAY 1
Arrive into Lima
Arrive into Lima and transfer to your hotel in the trendy Miraflores district for the next two nights.

DAY 2
Explore Lima
This morning you will explore Lima’s colonial centre with your guide before heading out in bohemian Barranco in the afternoon for a street food tour with a local expert.
DAY 3
Fly to Arequipa
This morning you will fly to Arequipa, a picturesque colonial ‘White City’ in southern Peru. Upon arrival you will check in to your luxury hotel and enjoy a private tour of the colonial centre in the afternoon.

DAY 4
Transfer to the Colca Canyon
Early this morning, you will set off for the Colca Canyon and pass through beautiful scenery en-route to your new destination with stunning vistas of volcanoes, mountain marshes and quaint traditional towns.

DAY 5
Visit the Condors at Colca Canyon
Enjoy a private tour of the Colca Canyon and admire the views from the Condor Cross. You will have the opportunity to explore a few local towns and even hike by secluded ruins of Uyu-Uyu if desired.
DAY 6
Drive to Lake Titicaca
This morning you will set off on an overland tour from Colca to Puno, on the shores of Lake Titicaca. Lunch will be included en-route and you will arrive at your hotel in the evening where you will spend the next three nights.

DAYS 7 – 8
Explore Lake Titicaca
During your time at Titilaka, you will be able to enjoy a variety of activities in the local region scheduled by the lodge and three gourmet meals a day.
DAY 9
Luxury train to Cusco
Today you will catch a luxury train from Puno to the colonial city of Cusco where you will spend the next three nights in a charming luxury hotel.

DAY 10
Private tour of Cusco
Enjoy a private half day tour of the colonial city centre and the surrounding Inca ruins with your expert guide.
DAY 11
Trek to the Rainbow Mountain of Palccoyo
Today you will set off on a full day hike to the Rainbow Mountains of Palccoyo where you can take stunning photographs of this unique landscape. This evening you will meet a guide for a briefing for your lodge-to lodge trek to Machu Picchu.
DAY 12
Lodge to Lodge Inca Trek
This morning you begin your lodge-to-lodge trail to Machu Picchu. Today you will have a choice of cultural activities and hikes in the Pisaq region of the Sacred Valley and spend the night in Lamay Lodge.

DAY 13
Lodge to Lodge Inca Trek
From Pisaq you will move on to the Lares Valley and have a similar choice of cultural activities or hikes to explore the region with your guides. Tonight, you will spend the night at Huacahuasi Lodge.

DAY 14
Lodge to Lodge Inca Trek
The next day of your lodge-to-lodge hike will be spent around Ollantaytambo where you can enjoy moderate hikes or a range of cultural activity options before spending the night at Kuychi Rumi Lodge.

DAY 15
Lodge to Lodge Inca Trek
On the last day of your trek, you will have a choice of hikes in the morning, before taking the train to Aguas Calientes, the town at the base of Machu Picchu, in the afternoon. You will spend the night in a luxury hotel in the town.

DAY 16
Tour of Machu Picchu & train to Cusco
This morning you will enjoy a two-hour guided tour of the Machu Picchu citadel and then have free time to climb either the Machu or Huayna Picchu peaks. In the afternoon, you will board a train toward Ollantaytambo and continue onwards to Cusco, where you will spend one further night.

DAY 17
Fly to the Amazon
Fly to Iquitos in the northern Peruvian Amazon and board your luxury Amazon cruise ship: Delfín III.

DAYS 18 – 19
Exploring the Amazon
These days will be spent exploring the Amazon forest on your cruise. You will be able to enjoy nocturnal safaris, kayaking, piranha fishing and several other activities set by the boat crew.
DAY 20
Fly Home
Today you will disembark the ship and return to the airport in Iquitos where you will board your onward flights home.
